This means no playing out, no visiting family and friends and following all government advice on the isolation rules. Children will be back in school on Tuesday 2nd November, which is after the half term holidays.

If your child is currentling self isolating, we have provided home learning for them via Seesaw. All children have 2 copies of their codes in order to log in to see their work, which they will ideally complete online. They may complete it on paper if they prefer and can upload a photograph of it on Seesaw. In certain circumstances children will be provided with work packs, but we are primarily using online learning platforms so Seesaw should be checked as frequently as possible.
We have provision in place for whole Year group home learning and for children remaining at home awaiting test results. Please support your child in accessing their learning if they are well. Thank you

I'm sure after the Prime Ministers statement tonight, there are lots of questions you have. We have lots of questions that need clarification too. At the moment, for us in school, there is no change to the guidance. We will provide care for those parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response and only those cannot be safely cared for at home. The message is still that it is safer to stay at home.
We have not received any information to support us with this new plan to start the phased reopening of some year groups. We expect we will receive further information from the DFE shortly, hopefully with some clarification.
We will need clear guidance to plan how it is possible to social distance in schools and keep our children, teachers and families safe; how we might start to phase groups of children returning and what this looks like. Please be assured there is no way we will reopen until we are 100% prepared.
As always, we will keep you informed but for now, please try not to worry. Our plan for now is to continue to provide activities for learning at home, keep contact with you, our families, and continue to support each other in these very difficult and uncertain times.

Our shared expectations for online behaviour:
We ASPIRE to use the internet for online learning in a safe way so we can develop our knowledge, skills, talents and interests to the highest level we can.
We BELIEVE that our online communications should always be kind and polite; we allow everyone to express their right to find things out and share what they think as long as it is not harmful to others.
We ACHIEVE safe use of the internet because we know how to report anything that upsets us, work cooperatively with children and adults and apply our learning about online behaviour both in and out of school at all times.
